Theme Week: Easter
Hi everyone! The theme for this week on the blog is Easter. I've asked some members of our design team to come up with projects to reflect this theme and they've done a wonderful job!
Design team member Cherie Nymeyer created this adorable card perfect for Easter. Here's what Cherie had to say ... "I haven't celebrated Easter in a while so I was a little intimidated to create something with that theme. However, I've always wanted to try a shaped card so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. I'm really happy with my "easter egg" card and will be mailing it off to someone special!" Thank you Cherie for the inspiration!

Product Parade: Pebbles Chips!
Today we are highlighting one of our favorite Pebbles products here on the blog ... Pebbles Chips! These chipboard pieces are absolutely delicious and coordinate perfectly with Pebbles papers, Candy Dots, and Ribbons. There are 70 glittered and printed shapes in each bag - talk about yummy possibilities!

"I snapped this photo of my daughter at the zoo last Spring and love how the Pebbles Lil' Miss papers have the same color palette as the flamingos. I thought it was a good contrast to use the yellow Pebbles Chips and Ribbon. It's so cool how you can color the chips or leave them plain, which I chose to do for this layout because the white was also a nice compliment to the clean and simple lines of my layout. Nothing is complete without a few Pebbles Candy Dots and I try to incorporate them as often as I can." Adorable Liz!

I love the Pebbles Chips so much because they are so glittery and finish off a project so well. The card was so easy to complete with the chipboard swirl and flower. It took me only thirty minutes ... so it is doable for anyone! Just create your card and add your favorite Pebbles Chip pieces!"

How To Tuesday
For this week's "How To Tuesday" design team member Samantha Sibbet is going to show you how you can alter our fabulous Pebbles Chips to suit your design needs. Here is what Samantha had to say about her project ... "When I was gathering the supplies to make this card, I knew that I wanted an unexpected pop of color. I knew I wanted to use a heart, so I decided to paint the heart to bring in that burst of color that I was looking for."
First, turn the chipboard heart over to expose the chipboard side and paint it with one layer of paint, set aside to dry.
Then paint on a coat of glitter glue. Even though the glitter glue appears white in the photo it dries clear.
Finally pour on a layer of glitter, set aside to dry.
After the glue is dry, shake off excess glitter, and complete your card!
Thank you Samantha for this fun tutorial!

Mix & Match Monday
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you're ready to mix it up a bit with our design team as they've created some wonderful projects that mix and match products from lots of our collections.
First up is design team member Emeline Seet. Here's what Emeline had to say ... "I mixed papers from Downtown, Skipping Along and Linnie Bell. This is a picture of our little boy's recent birthday. I just love how versatile Pebbles papers are!" Adorable Emeline!

Design team member Beth Root created a fun card that mixed lots of different Pebbles products. Here's what Beth to say ... "I just love using the Pebbles Chips as quick accent pieces. Add a Zapdot behind the chipboard and they are ready to go in an instant. The glittered pieces are probably my favorite, because they add an immediate bling factor without any mess. They are perfect for layering and combining other textured pieces, such as flowers and gems."

Design team member Suzanne Sergi created this adorable layout combining the Linnie Bell and Lil Miss collections. Here's what Suzanne had to say ... "I decided to pair the Linnie Bell Pearl paper with Lil Miss. The yellows in both papers complimented one another very well. I knew I wanted to use a snapshot of my daughter when I saw the word "daughter" on the Lil Miss sticker sheet. However, I saw that I could cut the "d," so it would then read laughter. I found the perfect snapshot of my little one laughing, which then helped me to complete my title. The Linnie Bell Pearl paper looked like a beehive, so I used bumblebees as part of the embellishments."

More Spring Projects with Sophia and Ginnifer!
Design team member Sophia Allison created this sweet layout using a mix of Pebbles collections and products and a really fun technique for her title. Here's what Sophia had to say ... "I used the word from my sticker sheet (friends) as a template, added talcum powder to make the backing not stick on my paper and chalked it brown. Then removed the sticker and voila, kind of like creating your own stencil." Thanks for sharing this fun tip Sophia!

Pebbles Chips Pink (744105)
Design team member Ginnifer Maloney created a layout with paper pieced tulips that look so close to the real thing! Here's what Ginnifer had to say ... "To make the tulips, I used the flower chalk stencil and traced the biggest leaves, 3 each for each tulip, then chalked them and layered them like a tulip head. I didn't need to do much with the ribbon as it already reminded me of tulip leaves as it unraveled. I just used some glue dots to hold them in position and cut the ends of the ribbon rounded to look more like a leaf. Here's a tip, run a flame from a lighter over the end of the cut ribbon and it melts it enough and seal it to keep it from unraveling. For this layout I also inked the edges with Versamark ink then chalked the edges, so I got the brightness of using ink, but the softness of using chalk." Fabulous Ginnifer!

Design team member Samantha Sibbet created this totally adorable treat bag perfect for Easter. Here's what Samantha had to say ... "My girls and I thought these little peeps would be perfect for all of their cousins. Doesn't everything look better in a shiny cellophane bag? The grass is edible, but I tried it and yech! I love the pebbles stickers, they are thick and perfectly printed, they make projects like these a cinch." Thanks for the heads up on the edible grass Samantha! LOL! Oh and by the way, see those letter stickers? They are part of our new release Twitterpated - aren't they adorable?!?

Theme Week: Spring is in the Air!
I don't know about you but we've been enjoying some beautiful weather over here on the East Coast this past week. Even though it's supposed to rain for the next few days I'll take the rain over snow any day. I've asked some of our design team members to create projects this week with a Spring theme. They've all done a fabulous job - thank you ladies!
Design team member Christa Pastenbaugh created this springy layout using the Lil Miss collection. Here's what she had to say ..."I cut the brown flowers from paper, then put the flower stickers on top with buttons for added dimension. The brown triangle paper is actually one of the strips from the bottom of the paper, then cut in half to form triangles versus the diamonds." Beautiful Christa!

Other supplies used:

Design team member Mireille Divjak created this adorable layout using the So Tweet collection. Here's what Mireille had to say ... "Last year my DH had open heart surgery. We went through a difficult time and my parents came over from the south and stayed on an island - Texel- very close to us. They took the kids so I could go to the hospital as much as possible. The kids had their little "vacation" with grandpa and grandma over there on the Island. On this beautiful spring day Grandpa rented this bike with hmmm no clue how you would call that in english ... but the kids could sit in it while he did all the hard work. Of course being a man he is mega sweet but not very practical - and grandma wasn't there to warn him - he gave the kids large ice creams to eat in that rented thing. Needless to say that before he brought back this vehicle he had to clean it for almost an hour ... ice cream everywhere!" What a memorable day Mireille!

Sketchy Thursday!
Today's projects are all a little sketchy ... but in a GOOD way. LOL! I don't know about you but I LOVE a good sketch. Whether you follow a sketch to a tee or simply use it as a starting point for your project, sketches can be an invaluable design tool. Design team member Liz Qualman provided this fabulous sketch for a few of our gals to use - thanks Liz!
Design team member Cherie Nymeyer created this adorable layout using the sketch. Here's what Cherie had to say ... "The sketch was perfect for these photos I just took. I flipped the layout so that the main photo was on the right side and the smaller two were on the left. I followed suit for the title and embellishments."

I love the vibrant colors of Lil Buddy, and knew that they would coordinate well with my son' hat. When he was younger, he loved to wear hats, and make silly faces to anyone that would look at him."

Dear Pebbles
Today we are featuring a little topic we like to call "Dear Pebbles" here on the blog. I know many of us out there are not only scrapbookers but card makers as well. Making cards is a great way to use up those paper scraps and, more importantly, share a little something handmade with friends and family.
Design team member Mimi Leinbach created this adorable card perfect for a baby boy. Here's what Mimi had to say ... "I wanted this card to be sweet, but still boy and baby like. These great colors just shout boy to me and the added touch of the heart and flower make it just a little bit softer."

How To Tuesday!
Hi there and welcome to "How To Tuesday!" Today design team member Liz Qualman is going to show you how to paper pierce using our Pebbles stencils and create the adorable card pictured below. Here are Liz's step by step instructions to create this project ...
First you will need to gather all of the materials pictures below which include Pebbles Accents Chalk Stencils (742061), cardstock, pencil, sheet of craft foam, and a heavy duty needle or ice pick.
Place a piece of craft foam under the cardstock so that your paper will easily pierce without tearing. Use a needle or ice pick to poke holes in the paper along the dotted lines. Gently erase any stray pencil marks when you have finished the holes.
Thank you so much Liz for this great tutorial!
First you will need to gather all of the materials pictures below which include Pebbles Accents Chalk Stencils (742061), cardstock, pencil, sheet of craft foam, and a heavy duty needle or ice pick.
Using the pencil, lightly trace the stencils with dotted lines approximately 1/4 inch apart. You may want to vary the closeness of the dots in some places to emphasize certain parts of the shape you are tracing.
Place a piece of craft foam under the cardstock so that your paper will easily pierce without tearing. Use a needle or ice pick to poke holes in the paper along the dotted lines. Gently erase any stray pencil marks when you have finished the holes.
Once you have finished piercing the paper with your design elements, add it to your project and embellish with Pebbles papers, stickers, flowers, chipboard, candy dots, and rub ons.
Thank you so much Liz for this great tutorial!
