Guest Designer: Kimberly Neddo and a GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to introduce you to this week's Guest Designer Kimberly Neddo.  Let's get to know Kimberly a little better ...

Describe yourself in 3 words … considerate, compassionate and loyal.

My guilty pleasure is … Graham Crackers with Cream Cheese frosting. *Yum*

You’ll never find me without … my camara and gear.

You might be surprised to know that I … am and always have been a bit of a dare devil. I've been sky diving, and used to be an acrobat water skier, a gymnast and a fly girl cheerleader and so much more. I love doing things that get my adrenaline going!

My least favorite chore is … ironing.

I started scrapbooking in ... 1996 on my son's due date! :) I wound up having him 9 days late.

My favorite thing about this hobby is ... the ever changing trends and challenges. It never grows stagnant and I just love creating things with my hands.

If I were a Pebbles product I would be … the pretty soft Velvet Yo Yos. :)


Kimberly created so many amazing projects for us today including this gorgeous layout with a heartfelt message for her daughter.  Here's what Kimberly had to say ... "To start with on this layout, I sprayed some mist on the paper and allowed for some drops to splatter for a fun effect. The Floral Lane line was just perfect for these photographs. I created a fun flower embellishment by layering a couple of punched flowers with the dimensional stickers. I took apart the velvet flower and added a fabric brad to the center."

Here's what Kimberly had to say about her next project ... "For this layout, I created a strip of photographs that I love to compliment the enlarged photograph and grouped them together.  For me, this helps tell the story to the layout.  Once I have the photographs in place, I enjoy the process of embellishing the layout that also compliments the photographs and design. I took apart one of the Velvet Yo Yos and added an accordian flower to it.  I also created a slight pleating strip border for dimension, to draw the viewers eye to the title and journaling."

Here's what Kimberly had to say about her next project ... "I've been wanting to create a layout with this photograph for some time now. I love Fresh Good's line for this creation. I wanted a simple design to keep the focus on this special photograph, and also have plenty of room to journal their sweet relationship."

Kimberly created not only layouts but several gorgeous cards for us as well.  Here's what Kimberly had to say about her first card ... "I love using bar code strips that have a pattern on the back for fun borders. For this card, I inked the edges of the strips and distressed the edges for a fun effect. I love the zig zag in the patterned paper, and decided to give a fun look by cutting and layering it. For a fun effect on stamping, try going off the edge a little and then trace around the letters. I made this card for my husband's birthday."

Here's what Kimberly had to say about her next card ... "Lately I've really loved making banners and using them in fun ways. For this simple card, I cut a strip of the patterned paper and made a couple of banners and layered them over each other for a fun look. I wanted to draw out the white around the border, so I stitched around the edges and left the string hanging for an added effect."
