Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Today on the Pebbles blog we'll be mixing and matching some Pebbles products to show you just how well our collections can be used with one another.
Design team member Savitri Wilder created this adorable card and matching gift wrap using goodies from several Pebbles collections. Here's what Savitri had to say ... "Lately I've been into wrapping small gifts up in pretty pattern paper and decorating it. Pebbles provided me with the perfect materials to create a cute and fun gift wrap for our daughter's present. She loved the gift and she also has a little something to remind her of what the gift was wrapped in. The "for you" card is now in her little keepsake box. "

The sign of a great collection is one that will work with any collection from the same company and Pebbles 'hits the nail on the head' everytime!"

More "Scraplifted" Projects with Mimi and I plus a GIVEAWAY!
Design team member Mimi Leinbach lifted a project by fellow design team member Kryssi Ng. Here's what Mimi had to say ... "I had a terrible time trying to decide what layout to scraplift but Kryssi's amazing style just drew me in. I love the simplicity of it ... with that perfect touch of "art". I just loved how she wrote her journaling around the edge of the page in her own handwriting ... the little bit of paint, perfect embellishments and adorable photo made this layout perfect!"
Pebbles supplies used:
New Arrival Boy Brand New (751070)
New Arrival Boy Everything Sweet (751073)
Cats & Dogs Bow Wow (751043)

I thought this was such a clever way to use our stencils and decided to create my own card using the same technique.

Design team member Kristen Swain was inspired by a recent layout by fellow team member Eva Pizarro. Here's what Kristen had to say ... "I am in love with simple clean layout design. However, it's not the style I typically look to when creating. Using Eva's layout as inspiration made this whole Valentine layout come together so much faster for me. Design team member Jennifer Yates lifted a project by fellow team member Guiseppa Gubler. Here's what Jennifer had to say ... In this particular layout, I love how she used the circles as a border and took a cue from her on how to mix papers from Cats & Dogs and New Arrival Girl -- to perfectly match for my photo! Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson lifted a layout by team member LG Belarmino. Here's what Wendy had to say ... "I decided to scraplift this fun layout by LG. I have had that fun border punch in my basket for months and just haven't taken it out yet. When I saw LG's layout I was very inspired to open it up and use it! I loved the way she layered the strips with the random colors behind each circle. The only difference is that I used a slightly larger circle punch to punch out the patterned paper, coated the entire back of the strips with spray adhesive, and just popped the circles on, then layered them onto the background - it was super fast and I love the result. I also used two photos, butterflies, and photos of my sweeties! Thanks for the inspiration, LG! :o)"

More "Scraplifted" Projects with Laura, Guiseppa, and Stephanie
First things first, I have a winner to announce from last week's "Whip It Up" giveaway. Thank you all so much for your comments. And the lucky winner is ...
Congratulations! Please email your full name and mailing information to pebblesincdt(at)gmail(dot)com and put "Whip It Up Winner" in the subject line.
Design team member Laura Vegas decided to do a lift of fellow team member Eva Pizarro's layout. Here's what Laura had to say ... "I just loved Eva Pizarro's "Goodbye 2010" layout, and thought it would be perfect for my scraplift. The first thing that caught my eye, was the grid pattern that she arranged her photos and the paper squares in. That totally fits my style of scrapbooking. I love how she added a wide assortment of embellishments to the squares of pattern paper. Pulling papers and embellishments from lots of different collections is so much fun, and something that I like to do as well. I also drew from the colors she used on her layout. She went with greens, pinks, and yellows. While I choose to use pinks, yellows, and oranges, mixed with a touch of green. And I just noticed that she machine stitched around her squares of pattern paper, as I was typing this. Which is something I also did on my layout."

I knew exactly what I wanted to do, the "Cats and Dogs" collection (of course) and I wanted to scrap lift Zoe's layout Bailey that she created with the "Cats and Dogs" collection. I love the way Zoe made this layout pop, so I mimicked some of the design and added a few different ideas of my own. Theme: Scraplift a Design Team Member
Happy Monday everyone! This week on the Pebbles blog it's all about scraplifting! What is "scraplifting" you ask? Scraplifting is the the act of "lifting" or copying ideas and/or designs from another person’s scrapbook page to use in your own pages. Designs or ideas can be copied in whole or in part. And most importantly be sure to give credit where credit is due. If you do "lift" someone else's idea be sure to mention where the idea originated. I've asked some of our design team members to "scraplift" their fellow teammates.
Design team member Christa Paustenbaugh decided to lift a project by team member Suzanne Sergi. Here's what Christa had to say ... "I am a huge fan of Suzanne Sergi and love what she can do with home decor projects! I chose her canvas project to lift and made it into layout form. I stuck with a block design, but instead of 9 smaller squares, I used 4 larger squares of patterned paper as a backdrop to my lined photos. The photos replicated the strip of patterned paper she had in the middle of her project. I also chose to lift the Twitterpated line that she used because I just love that line and thought it would make my rather monotone photos pop more."

Free For All Friday
Happy Friday everyone! We are wrapping up the week with a few "free for all" projects from some of our design team members.
Design team member Christa Paustenbaugh created this layout about her daughter's adorable new smile. Here's what Christa had to say ... "I've said it before, but will say again how much I love that the New Arrival lines can be used for so much more than baby layouts! If one side of the paper is too baby-ish, just flip it over and there is always a wonderful neutral pattern on the other side to use! That's what I did with this layout about my oldest and her sudden pumpkin smile. I flipped the pink bird paper over and had a fabulous diamond tan pattern paper on the other side for a background. I love putting pinks and browns together so I ran the whole array from tan to dark brown and from a very soft pink to bright pink. Lots of variations that you can use with this line!"

Design team member Ginger Williams created this bright and colorful layout about her son. Here's what Ginger had to say ... "I love the fun font of the alphabet stickers in the Tree House line! They are fun and whimsical, (plus they have glitter) and I thought it would be fun to do a layout that would feature them prominently. I thought they added the perfect touch to this layout about my youngest son's attempt to build things out of Legos just like his older brothers."

Sketchy Thursday
For today's edition of "Sketchy Thursday" I asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this fabulous sketch by Becky Fleck.
Design team member Laura Vegas created this beautiful layout all about her daughter Alyssa. Here's what Laura had to say ... "I love working with sketches! I love that they guide me on the basic page design, so that I can use my creative juices for choosing products and trying fun techniques. When I work with sketches, I tend to follow the design exactly as it's shown. I did adjust my photo sizes a bit, since I was cropping regular 4x6 prints and couldn't go much smaller on a few. For my background paper, I wanted to use the darker grey dot pattern paper, but I only had half a sheet to work with. I simply cut 4 strips that were 1.5 inches wide, and then adhered them around the outside edges of an extra piece of white cardstock. Then I built the rest of my layout on that white cardstock as well, so that it still looks like the dark grey paper is my background paper. A great tip for using up paper scraps."
Pebbles supplies used:
May Bouquet Garden (7610150)
May Bouquet Daisy (751020)
May Bouquet Courtyard (751019)
May Bouquet Blossom (751018)
Lil' Buddy Bubba (750943)

Pearl White Candy Dots (744234)
Glitter Yellow Candy Dots (744221)
Other supplies used:
Cardstock (American Crafts)
Punch (EK Success)
Design team member Kim Kesti flipped the sketch to make it work with these vintage photos of her parents. Here's what Kim had to say ... "I just love working with sketches (and Becky’s are my favorite). For this sketch, I wanted to scrap an 8 ½ X 11 so I rotated the sketch 90 degrees. I still used three photos and it’s not a bit crowded. Love that. The New Arrival Girl works surprisingly well for a “Young Love” layout. Love that, too!”
Pebbles supplies used:

Design team member Samantha Sibbet shows how versatile this sketch is by using it on a card instead of a layout. Here's what Samantha had to say ... "I thought this great sketch would work well for a smaller lay out or even a card. The combination of a sketch and the sweet New Arrival embellishments made this a fun card to put together."

Whip It Up Wednesday plus a GIVEAWAY!
For today's post I challenged some of our design team members to "whip up" a project using Pebbles products in 30 minutes or less. Check out these fabulous projects that can be created in no time at all!
Design team member Anna Sigga sure knows how to get crafty on a budget ... time budget that is! Here's what Anna had to say ... "Creating a layout, card or any other project rarely takes me less than 30 min but all those cute establishments from Pebbles make it much easier to stay inside the 30 min frame. I may have cheated a tiny bit by pre-cutting all the papers, but even if I add the "paper cutting time" to my over all time it took me 37 min. I sure hope you can forgive me ;o) The New Arrival collections are so cute and those cute chipboard embellishments really make a simple card pop - and the whale is so darn cute. I had a real hard time "letting go"!! :D"
Pebbles supplies used:

New Arrival Boy Brand New (751070)

Other supplies used:

Mist (Tattered Angels)
Ink (Ranger)

Design team ember Kristen Swain is a card guru and created this adorable twosome in no time at all! Here's what Kristen had to say ... "I made both these cards in just 30 minutes. When creating something with a time limit, it helps to have an idea of your design in your head. I also basically kept the paper design the same, cutting pieces and hand cutting the scallop paper in the same manner. I also tried to keep the cards more simple, and using Pebbles Chipboards and layered stickers make the designs look like I spent so much more time creating these cards, when it was just a matter of peeling them off the packaging and sticking them onto the cards!"

Design team member Suzanne Sergi knows how to pack a lot of punch in a small amount of time. Here's what Suzanne had to say ... "With Valentine's Day, I needed some last minute Valentine's Cards! The 30 minute timeline was about all I had one afternoon! However, the color palettes of all the collections work so well together, that choosing paper was easy! I paired New Arrival Girl with a paper from Twitterpated to create this card. I loved the premade embellishments, because with a few adjustments, I was able to add a few simple details. With a few layers of paper, and hearts, it gave my card the added dimension I love. All of this came together in 30 minutes!! Finished the card with my favorite crinkled ribbon from Pebbles! A few pieces of paper, premade embellishments, and under 30 minutes, is all it takes to show someone how much you care!"

How To Tuesday
First things first, I have a winner to announce from last week's "LOVE " giveaway. Thank you all so much for your comments. And the lucky winner is ...
Congratulations! Please email your full name and mailing information as well as your choice of Pebbles collection to pebblesincdt(at)gmail(dot)com and put "LOVE Winner" in the subject line.
Today's "How To" post is brought to you by the very talented LG Belarmino. Here's what LG had to say ... "I love experimenting with my pages. With this layout, I played with my border punches and mists. By doing this, I was able to personalize my page and choose the color combination I wanted (yellow and green)." And here are LG's step by step instructions ...
Today, I would like to share with you a very simple technique that you can apply on your very own page. This technique will maximize the use of your patterned papers because you'll be able to use small leftover scrap papers. Here, I used leftover scraps from the Tree House collection. The materials you will need are your favorite border punch and a big pattern template of your choice (I used a butterfly template).
Step 1: Using your preferred border punch, punch out several strips from a cardstock.
Step 2: Cover the punched areas with your leftover scraps. My color combination here is yellow and green so I alternately used different patterned papers to achieve my desired look.
Step 3: From a 3"x4" cardstock piece, trace your template and cut it out. We will use the negative part instead of the cutout butterfly. Use foam tape as your adhesive and add it around the cutout area. This will give dimension to the design.
Step 4: Adhere the negative cutout to a 3"x4" patterned paper of your choice.
Now, feel free to add these patched items on your pages! Here is my finished layout using the patching technique:
Pebbles Supplies:
Tree House 3x3 Cards (751024)
Tree House Bliss (751033)
Tree House Laughter (751025)
Tree House Sunset (751029)
Tree House Merriment (751028)
Tree House Epoxy Brad (744231)
Tree House Metal Brad (744232)
Tree House Paper Flowers (741002)
Twitterpated Sweet (751002)
Glitter Spring Green Candy Dots (744215)
Pearl White Candy Dots (744234)
Charming ABC Stickers (732001)
Other supplies used:
Cardstock
Kraft Envelope
